Insurance Cover for Nurses and Alllied Health Professionals
NurseWise provides comprehensive insurance for nurses, midwives, paramedics, and allied health professionals across Australia. Our master policy offers shared limits that protect your career, income, and professional responsibilities while ensuring you meet AHPRA requirements. Cover also extends to duties such as nursing care, related services, and education or training.
In the event of a claim, the policy covers damages, legal fees, and provides representation, subject to policy terms and limits. It also offers additional benefits such as:
- Unlimited Retroactive Date
- Runoff Cover for Former Members
- Quarterly reductions in annual cost (15/02, 15/05 & 15/08 to 15/11)
- Master Policy insured period: 15/11/2024 – 15/11/2025
Professional Indemnity Insurance

- $20 million Professional Indemnity ($60 million in the aggregate, excess $250)

Public Liability Insurance
Public liability insurance provides cover if you are held responsible for injury or property damage while working. Typical cover includes:
- $20 million Public Liability (excess $500)
- Claims for accidental injury to patients, visitors, or members of the public
- Cover for property damage caused during your professional activities
- Incidents occurring in clinical, home, or community settings
- Legal fees and compensation costs resulting from a liability claim
Legal Expenses Cover
Legal expenses cover protects you for costs associated with professional investigations or legal proceedings related to your practice. Typical cover includes:
- $250,000 Legal Expenses (excess $250)
- Legal representation and advice in professional matters
- Costs associated with responding to formal inquiries or investigations
- Expert evidence and defence fees
- Coverage for proceedings within the policy wordings and limits
